I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals, couples, children ages five and older, teens, and families. I offer a steady, welcoming space where you can slow down, speak honestly, and begin understanding what has been keeping you or your family stuck.

I especially enjoy helping people navigate relationships. In couples therapy, we will look beneath the arguments, identify painful patterns, and practice healthier ways of communicating and responding to one another. In individual therapy, we can explore how your history, needs, fears, and boundaries may be shaping your relationships.

When working with children and teens, I adapt therapy to their age, personality, strengths, and needs. Parents and caregivers are also an important part of the process. Together, we can better understand what your child may be communicating through their emotions or behavior and find practical ways to support them.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and direct. I will meet you with compassion, ask thoughtful questions, offer honest observations, and help you take practical steps toward the life and relationships you want.

Therapy can help you understand yourself and your relationships more clearly, heal what has been hurting, and create new ways of coping, communicating, and connecting. When you are ready to begin, I will be there to take the next step with you.

Elisa Barnes, LMFT, MA

Marriage & Family Therapist, Psychotherapist (She/Her)

You may know that something needs to change, even if you are not yet sure what that change should look like.

Perhaps you and your partner keep having the same painful argument, feel increasingly disconnected, or are trying to rebuild trust after betrayal or infidelity. You may be seeking therapy on your own to understand recurring relationship patterns, strengthen your boundaries, recover from a breakup, or decide what you want from a current relationship.

You may also be worried about your child or teen. They might seem anxious, angry, withdrawn, overwhelmed, or unlike themselves. You may be seeing changes at home, at school, or in their relationships and wondering how to help.

Elisa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who holds a Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Northcentral University. You can meet with Elisa in person at our Audubon and Douglassville location, as well as via telesession. She works with adults and children as young as 5 years old and provides individual as well as couples and family therapy.

You are welcome here.
